how we met

if you ask sarah how we met: i was supposed to go to brunch with my friend amanda, to meet her friend from work shannon. little did i know that shannon was bringing their other friend from work, dan. i almost cancelled on amanda because i had too much wine the night before. i had planned to be home from brunch in the early afternoon, but brunch turned into bar hopping. by the time we got to the third bar, we were standing in line to get in and i ended up next to dan. we started talking and then couldn't stop. i mentioned my favorite cocktail was a margarita. when we got in, dan went right up to the bar to get one for he and i. margaritas reminded him of a story from his brother sebastian's wedding which he began to tell me. i missed the entire story because i was too busy staring at him. when i left, i went over my friend mayra's house and couldn't stop talking about dan. i resolved to add him on facebook and ask him out, but by the time i did, he had already sent me a friend request. i asked him out and he told me that he was supposed to ask me first. we had our first date a week later, and we were out until 4 AM. we have been inseparable ever since.
